Fintry Community Incorporated is a small community-based organisation that provides a secure and supportive environment for people living with a serious mental illness, especially schizophrenia. The program is based in Clifton Hill and provides supported long-term accommodation and a Drop-In Centre.

Fintry Community provides a rehabilitation–focused program with a pastoral care ethos. The aim of pastoral care is to provide a supportive, community-based environment that recognises the needs of the whole person and their well-being. The ‘rehabilitation focus’ is based on the ‘Psychiatric Disability Rehabilitation Support (PDRS) Service Guidelines 2003’ published by the Department of Human Services (DHS). The guidelines describe the service as …'the provision of ongoing support that assists the person with a psychiatric disability to experience an improved quality of life, learn or relearn the skills of daily living, participate to the maximum extent in social, recreational, educational and vocational activities and live successfully at an optimal level of independent functioning in the community'.

Fintry currently employs 6 staff. The program has a small band of committed volunteers and a supportive local community, some of whom have a regular involvement with the program and its residents.
